There's nothing like a reminder that you are growing up when furniture shopping is deemed exciting. But, that's exactly what happened when we went shopping for a new bed (headboard, footboard and frame that is) to go along with the super cumfy bed we bought from Sleepy's over 2 years ago.
Everything about the purchase made me appreciative. The first thing was buying the bed was easy. We saw one we liked, the price was outstanding. There was no pricing dickering and we didn't feel like we were getting gouged. We received great news in that we were getting the last one in stock, out of the Western PA store. By the time we left the store a week and half ago, we had the next available delivery day. Today, April 27, 2011.
By one week later, they had confirmed the delivery day with me not once, but twice. Not only that, but they gave me the time frame, too. 11:30 to 1pm. So today arrived. They were right on schedule. Within 20 minutes of arrival, they had it in, setup and were out the door. Polite, prompt and clean.
I also got the mail after they left. A Thank You card from the saleswoman arrived, thanking us for their purchase. And now, less than 4 hours after they left, I got a follow up phone call asking how everything went and if I had any questions.
EVERY SINGLE STEP along the way was easy going, documented and followed through on. So many companies can learn from what this company did. They didn't go out of their way at all. They just did everything that I would expect. It's scary that that is no longer the norm.
