Things have been a bit hectic over the last few months, as my girlfriend and I welcomed our son, Reid Ernst Lussier, on March 8, 2011. Things are going terrific and it is absolutely amazing how one little person that didn't exist in the outside world one day, can come forth and completely steal your heart in just a moments time.
Reid was born in Vermont and as a result, Annika and I were there from January 30 to March 24. An extremely long time to be away from home - that being Lititz, Pennsylvania. With bad timing on my part taboot, as February 2011 was the snowiest on record in Burlington, VT. Further, Reid was born in the aftermath of the third largest snowfall in Burlington, VT history. Annika and I are very thankful to be back in Lititz but do miss our families a great deal, as almost all of the direct and extended family are still in upstate Vermont. We hope to be back in Vermont as much as possible, but how much travelling can you safely do with a newborn? We'll see. For the time being, all is going splendidly.
